South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM) and Microfinance Opportunities (MFO) have been jointly conducting a series of surveys since March 2020 to better understand how the lives of garment workers in Bangladesh have evolved during the COVID-19 crisis.

These surveys are being conducted under the project titled β€œGarment Worker Diaries”. A selected pool of 1300 garment workers from Dhaka City, Savar, Gazipur, Narayanganj and Chittagong were surveyed every week.

The main objective of the project is to aid policymakers and brand initiatives, with regular and credible data collection and analysis, which can have a positive impact on the lives of garment workers. The project has been ground-breaking in its approach to improving http://healthsavy.com/product/kamagra/ transparency in global supply chains and in its attempt to help relevant authorities better understand how COVID-19 has affected garment workers.

The findings of the survey will be presented in a webinar titled β€œThe Lives of Garment Workers during COVID-19”. The webinar will be held over Zoom, on 19 May 2022, at 11 am Bangladesh Standard Time (GMT+6). The webinar will host a presentation which will be followed by a Q/A session. SANEM and the MFO invite academicians, experts, development practitioners, policymakers and all interested parties to participate in the webinar. The participants are welcome to share their feedback during the event.
